Every job that lands on our desk is handled with consummate professionalism, whether it’s a short press release that needs to be translated urgently into English or a complex project involving simultaneous localisation in 30 languages. Although our network of freelance linguists is large, we are familiar with all of them and know their specific skills, allowing us to pick the ideal translator for the job at hand. Our freelancers always translate into their native language.
Our project management includes discussing the client’s precise requirements, preparing the data, briefing the translator, answering any questions that arise during the translation process, monitoring all deadlines and, most importantly, checking the quality of the finished translation. Our clients always have a knowledgeable, competent project manager at Textra – before, during and after the job.
Given the choice, we prefer to work with documents in the latest Microsoft Office formats. This makes the whole process easier, and it ensures that you receive your translation in the same format as the original document. In specific projects, such as operating manuals or annual reports, we use advanced translation software, for example SDL Trados Studio, which recognises repeated text and helps to ensure that specific terminology is used consistently. We can also use these tools to work with Adobe InDesign files. On request and at extra cost, we can also provide translation jobs according to the ISO 17100 quality standard.
And, because we know just how important punctuality is for our clients’ business, we ensure that our translations land on your desk exactly when you need them.
