Purposes of the processing

Contact queries and communication, security measures, reach measurements, management of and responses to requests, provision of our online site and user friendliness, information technology infrastructure

Pertinent legal grounds

We will process your personal data solely if and when at least one of the following conditions is met:

a) You have consented to the processing pursuant to point (a) of Art. 6(1) GDPR;

b) The processing is required for the processing of contractual relationships with you pursuant to point (b) of Art. 6(1) GDPR;

c) The processing is required pursuant to point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR to protect the legitimate interests of the controller or a third party unless overridden by your legitimate interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.

Security:

We protect your data by using TLS encryption. The prefix https:// in the address line of your browser indicates that your connection is encrypted by this method.

Transfer of personal data

We may, under certain circumstances, transfer or disclose personal data to third parties, including (for example) IT service providers or providers of services and content that are integrated into our website. In such cases, we comply with legal requirements and conclude contracts with the data recipients to protect your data.

Erasure of data

The data we have processed will be erased in accordance with legal requirements as soon as you withdraw your consent to the processing or other permissions cease to apply. Insofar as data are not erased because they are required for other lawful purposes, processing is limited to said purposes.

Use of cookies

Cookies are small text files that store information on devices and read information from the devices. Among other purposes, they serve to ensure the functionality and security of online sites and the analysis of visitor flows. We use cookies in compliance with legal statutes and have integrated a cookie consent procedure.

Temporary cookies (also known as session cookies) are erased at the latest when you leave our online site and close your browser or mobile app. Permanent cookies remain stored even after these applications have been closed. Their use permits the immediate display of preferred content when you visit our website again and other functions. Permanent cookies are stored on our website for a maximum of 14 months.

Withdrawal and objection (opt-out): You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time and may also lodge an objection to processing in accordance with the legal provisions of Art. 21 GDPR. You can also disable the use of cookies in your browser settings (although this may limit the functionality of our online services). We process users’ data as necessary to provide our online services for their use.

Types of data processed: Usage data (e.g. visited websites, interest in content, access times); communication and procedural data (e.g. IP addresses, time data, identification numbers, consent status).

Purposes of the processing: Provision of our online site and user friendliness; analysis of the use, operation and provision of information systems and technical devices (computers, servers, etc.); security measures.

We use storage space, computing capacity and software that we rent from a server provider (also known as a “web hoster”) as well as storage space, computing capacity and software that we operate ourselves for the provision of our online site. Access to our online site is recorded in “log files”. These files may include the address and name of the accessed websites and files, the date and time of access, the volume of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type, the user’s operating system, the previously visited site, IP addresses and the requesting provider.

Purpose of the processing: Security, e.g. avoidance of server overload.

Legal grounds: Legitimate interests (point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR).

When we are contacted and during the fulfilment of current user and business relationships, the information of the inquiring persons is processed insofar as this is necessary to answer the contact enquiries and to perform any requested measures.

Types of data processed: Contact data (e.g. email, phone numbers); content data (e.g. entries in online forms).

Purposes of the processing: Contact requests and communications; management of and responses to requests; provision of our online services; user-friendliness of the site.

Legal grounds: Legitimate interests (point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR); contract performance and pre-contractual enquiries (point (b) of Art. 6(1) GDPR).

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure and analyse the use of our online site based on a pseudonymous user identification number. This identification number does not contain any unique data such as names or email addresses. To ensure the protection of user data in the EU, Google receives and processes all user data on domains and servers located within the EU. The users’ IP addresses are not recorded and are truncated by the last two digits by default. The IP address is truncated on EU servers for EU users.

Google Maps

We have integrated maps provided by the “Google Maps” service into our website. The application requires the processing of your IP address and possibly your location data by the provider so that the desired content can be sent to your browser.

Your rights as data subject

You are entitled to various rights under the GDPR, especially those of Art. 15 to Art. 21 GDPR:

a) Right of access
You have the right to request information from us as to whether personal data concerning you are being processed.

b) Rectification/erasure/restriction of processing
You have the right to request that we rectify inaccurate personal data concerning you without undue delay (right to rectification); that we erase personal data concerning you without undue delay (right to erasure); and that we restrict processing (right to restriction of processing).

c) Right to data portability
You have the right to receive personal data concerning you that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format and to transfer these data to another controller.

d) Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw the consent you have given us at any time. The withdrawal of consent is without prejudice to the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

e) Right to object
You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data relating to you that is carried out pursuant to points (e) or (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR.

f) Right to lodge a complaint
If you are of the opinion that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes on the GDPR, you have the right (without prejudice to other legal remedies) to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
